Shri. VRAJLAL PAREKH manufactures metal buttons in a one-machine factory shed.

1950

Buys windsor machines to start plastic processing company called National Plastics.

1964

Ventured full fledged into household items.

1981

Nilkamal Plastics in an independent venture.

1984

Started manufacturing crates.

1990

Started manufacturing moulded furniture.

1991

Started a plant in Sinner (Maharashtra). Nilkamal is listed on the stock exchange.

1994

Becomes the official crates supplier to Coca-Cola & Pepsi.

2001

Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Certification by TUV-Germany.

2003

Most of our factories have achieved "Zero Water" discharge. Also, all of our factories have put up rain water harvesting.

2005

Inaugurates @home.

2006

Enters into a joint venture with BITO Logertechnik Bittmann Gmbh, Germany.

2007

Nilkamal Crates and Bins Private Limited and Stackwell Marketing Services Private Limited merge with Nilkamal.

2011

Manufacturing & marketing joint venture with cambro Mfg. Co. USA.

2012

Nilkamal launches Nilkamal Mattrezz with a range of spring, coir & foam mattresses and a factory in Hosur.

2013

Tie-up with windfarm company. The entire Hosur plant operates on wind energy.

2015

Started installing rooftop solar power panels at all our factories, Which will be completed by 2018/2019. It is projected to reduce 3000 Tons of CO2 every year.

2016

Won 4 Awards of Excellence in Manufacturing from frost & Sullivan along with Economic Times.

2017

New mattress plants in Dharuhera and Bhivandi. Inauguration of a new factory in Hosur for Bubbleguard - a new technology in protection, packaging, advertising and various other applications.

2018

Nilkamal expands into metal working and MDF manufacturing with a new plant in Hosur.
